in the moment you can't think of camera adjustments or quality...

Oh Thursday, I don't believe anyone could explain it. Words just couldn't cover it. Really, Wild Nothing??! REALLY?!?! I wish you could have seen how much we really enjoyed & appreciated it. Flying from Portland, paying for a hotel room and walking a mile in more than 90 degree Utah heat to see Wild Nothing...I would have sailed the 7 seas to hear that voice. (I've written about them before, we know how I feel about their music, so I'll stop myself there) Well, one more comment: I could never compare the two but Wild Nothing gives me the same feeling I got when I first heard Jarvis Cocker so long ago...
Bright Eyes. I should have taken more/better photos, but between the singing/dancing/love sharing, it slipped.
Sad and fun...lovely and exciting....
everyone went through so many different emotions in those hours and towards the end it just got a little crazy! the first time they left the stage, some of the crowd started leaving, but Conor and the rest of the band came back for a couple more and they left again as did more of the crowd. When they came back for the third time, a large amount of the crowd had gone and things started getting, well....bras were being thrown and hung from mic stands, Conor going all O.G. while introducing the band...him jumping into the crowd...they showed up for sure. Till the last second...most def, Conor, most def.

bad quality but it's a memory none the less.
I was dancing a bit, at least you can't hear me singing...
I've got to say, for some reason it was taken to a different level when Conor took his sunglasses and button-up shirt off. Like he was more comfortable or at ease and we all felt it.
This is one of the many that are already on youtube. It's just way better than mine with everyone singing way too loudly in the the background.

sunday's story...monday's not too late...

joel: Hi.
clementine: Hi. Didn't figure you'd show your face around me again. I guess I thought you were...humiliated. You did run away, after all.
joel: I just needed to see you.
clementine: Yeah?
joel: I'd like to, um...take you out, or something.
clementine: You're married.
joel: Not yet, not married. No, I'm not married.
clementine: Look man, I'm telling you right off the bat, I'm high maintenance, so...I'm not gonna tip-toe around your marriage, or whatever it is you've got goin' there. If you wanna be with me, you're with me.
joel: Okay.
clementine: Too many guys think I'm a concept, or I complete them, or I'm gonna make them alive. But I'm just a fucked up girl who's looking for my own peace of mind; don't assign me yours.
joel: I remember that speech really well.
clementine: I had you pegged, didn't I?
joel: You had the whole human race pegged.
clementine: Hmm. Probably.
joel: I still thought you were gonna save my life... even after that.
clementine: Ohhh...I know.
joel: It would be different, if we could just give it another go-round.
clementine: Remember me. Try your best; maybe we can.

my cow's!!!...okaaaay, not MINE

Last Friday we went went beer tasting in Portland then took a train ride to the fair in Hillsboro. I should have taken more photos of the actual fair but it was all the usuals; rides, some shopping, food, etc. My favorite part of any fair are the barn animals, well mostly just the cows! The most exciting part...there were no fences or barriers between us and these beauties! *Ah, how cuddly!*
